Redescription, female. Body length 6.31 mm. Head with dark green reflection; mesosoma with dark green reflection and metapectal-propodeal disc black; wings subhyaline; metasoma castaneous. Head wide. Mandible with five distal teeth, wide, angled, and step-shaped. Median clypeal lobe angulate, short; median clypeal carina hardly distinct from clypeus. With frontal process; antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye small. Frontal angle of ocellae forming right angle; ocelli very small. Vertex concave. Pronotal disc as long as wide, polished; transverse pronotal carina present, incomplete; posterior margin without posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus very narrow. Mesoscutellar disc with mesoscutellar sulcus narrow. Metapectal-propodeal disc short; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges absent; metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; paraspiracular carina absent; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc polished; propodeal declivity polished. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea closed; lower fovea opened; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture opened. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia spinose; claws bifid. Metasomal segments glabrous. Genitalia. T9 with anterior arm long and overlapping 2vf; 1vv slightly longer than genitalia body; 2vv as long as 1vv length, abruptly narrowing apicad; 3vv long; 1vf strongly curved forward; 2vf slender and with dorsal lap strongly swollen posteriorly; 1rv slightly curved forward, ventral process small, and posterior process long; 2rv slightly curved forward.

Diagnosis, male (extracted from Evans, 1964). Body length 4–6 mm. Head with golden-green reflection; mesosoma with golden-green reflection; wings sub-hyaline; metasoma dark castaneous with apex castaneous. Head wide. Flagellomeres long. Mandible slender, slightly angled, and with lower tooth longer than others. Median clypeal lobe angulate, short. Frons coriaceous. Antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye large. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle obtuse; ocelli large. Vertex straight. Sparsely punctate; transverse pronotal carina complete; with posterior pronotal sulcus. Metapectal-propodeal disc short. Mesotibia spinose. Claws bifid. Genitalia. Basiparamere as long as paramere; paramere wide, angled, and with ventral margin concave and dorsal margin convex, sparsely setose; basivolsella straight; cuspis with arms long, dorsal arm slender; aedeagus basal portion convex and slender, apical portion shorter than basal portion and wide; apodeme wide.

Material examined. Lectotype (E. aurichalceus Westwood, 1874), here designated. Female. CUBA (OXUM). Male. CUBA, Sancti Spíritus, Jatibonico, 21°56'47"N 79°10'03"W, 16.vii. [19]29, taken on leaves of Terminalia sp., L.C. Scaramuzza [collector] (UFES 09367).
