Description
Methia elongata (Galileo & Martins, 2009)
(Figs 5–8)
Tessaropa elongata Galileo & Martins, 2009: 162; Monné et al., 2017: 22 (holotype); Monné, 2018: 484 (cat.).
Some features reported in the original description do not agree with the holotype: 1) Distance between upper eye lobes (Fig. 5) equal to width of one lobe (actually, equal to 1.5 times width of one lobe); 2) Prosternal process (Fig. 6) absent (it is similar to that in M. carioca (Fig. 2), but it is not projected toward the posterior margin of procoxae); 3) Elytra reaching middle of tergite V (actually it surpass the apex of ventrite V, and reach about apex of last tergite).
