Chrysomydas Wilcox, Papavero & Pimentel

Chrysomydas Wilcox, Papavero & Pimentel, 1989: 130. Type-species, Mydas nitidulus Olivier, 1811 (by original designation).

Diagnosis. Tergites 2–5 with long dense recumbent setulae laterally directed (setation parted medially); katepimeron pilose; first hind tarsomere long, subequal to tarsomeres 2–3 and longer than tarsomere 5; male epandrial lamellae united at base, triangular with posterior extremity distinctly prolonged as a spine, with tips curved upward; gonocoxite-hypandrial complex long setulose, with posterior process laterally compressed, wider apically, truncate; phallus with conspicuous dorsal projections (phallic crest) and inconspicuous lateral projections.
