MycoKey Project -36 Months Technical Report

Description

MycoKey is playing a huge role in the context of solutions to tackle biological contamination of  maize, wheat and barley, food and feed chain, by applying an integrated approach to reduce the risks associated to  toxigenic fungi and related mycotoxins, specifically aflatoxins, deoxynivalenol, zearalenone, ochratoxin A, fumonisins. The goal is to generate innovative and integrated solutions to support stakeholders in effective and sustainable  mycotoxin management along food and feed chains.

A brief summary of progress and results is described in the following pages per each WP. The scientific Work Packages (WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5, WP6) are described for each task.
The table of milestones (MS) and deliverables (D) per WP indicates the progress status of each item (%) and  its signal, according to this description:

GREEN:  everything  goes  well,  milestones  and  deliverables  are  reached  and  completed,  punctual  and complete reporting, no administrative and/or financial problems, good interaction among partners

ORANGE:  everything  goes  well  enough  but  milestones  and  deliverables  are  partially  reached,  or incomplete/delayed reporting, some administrative and/or financial problems, medium interaction among beneficiaries  and  WPs  and  level  of  communication.  In  general,  the  overall  feedback  is  not  so  completely negative: the WP development is good but presents some criticisms to be managed and solved in short time, in order to avoid negative effects on the overall results of the project. No serious risks affecting the activity.

RED : the activity development meets criticism of high level, that could have negative impact towards objectives and milestones. The criticism could regard missing cooperation of an important Beneficiary, great  difficulties  in  some  WP  tasks,  serious  financial  problems,  missing  reporting  or  serious  remarks  by European Commission and External Advisory Board. The overall feedback is negative: the WP development presents hard criticism to be shortly managed and solved, with concentrate and punctual efforts and without negative effects on the overall results of the WP.

A summary of results is available in the section 1.3, table 1.3.2  -  Impact for practices: results, Technology Readness Levels (TRL), target and potential application
