Description
Species richness and relative abundance of ladybird beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) were surveyed in Suwałki Landscape Park (NE Poland) in 2020 and 2021. Altogether, 40 species were recorded, including some relatively rare in Poland, such as Calvia quindecimguttata (FABRICIUS), Ceratomegilla notata (LAICHARTING), Coccinella hieroglyphica L., Nephus redtenbacheri (MULSANT), Platynaspis luteorubra (GOEZE), Scymnus abietis (PAYKULL), Sospita vigintiguttata (L.) and Vibidia duodecimguttata (PODA). Contribution to the ladybird assemblages of the invasive Harmonia axyridis (PALLAS) was relatively high (8.1% of all collected specimens and 30% of the specimens collected from broad-leaved trees and shrubs). New data on the occurrence of some ladybird species in other areas in NW Poland (Biebrza river valley, Wigry National Park, Masurian Landscape Park) are also provided in this paper.
