Synthesis of O,O' -alkylenedithiophosphato complexes of cobalt

Complexes of the type [Co{S₂PO₂G}₂] (G = —CMe₂CH₂CHMe—, —CH₂CMe₂CH₂—, —CMe₂CMe₂— and —CH₂CH₂CHMe—) have been prepared by the reaction of CoCl₂.6H₂O with ammonium dithiophosphates, which on oxidation in dichloromethane solution yield complexes of the type [Co{S₂PO₂G}₃].
