Basionym: Hedysarum ecastaphyllum L. (1759).

Lectotype (Fawcett & Rendle, Fl. Jamaica 4: 78. 1920): Browne, Herb. Linn. No. 887.4 (LINN).

Current name: Dalbergia ecastaphyllum (L.) Taub. (Fabaceae: Faboideae).
