Description
Ononis natrix Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 717. 1753.
"Habitat in G. Narbonensi, Hispania, inter segetes." RCN: 5284.
Lectotype (Förther & Podlech in Mitt. Bot. Staatssamml. München 30: 263. 1991; Devesa & López González in Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 55: 251. 1997): Herb. Linn. No. 896.22, lower right specimen (LINN).
Current name: Ononis natrix L. subsp. natrix (Fabaceae: Faboideae).
Note: Förther & Podlech (1991) designated 896.22 (LINN) as lectotype. This choice was later restricted to the lower, right specimen by Devesa & López González (1997).
