Derivatives of paniculatin and their antifungal activity

The antifungal activity of the derivatives of paniculatin (1), i.e. paniculatol (2), ester derivatives of paniculatin [3(a-f)], 3- hydroxy paniculatol (4), 1,2,20,21,22,23-hexahydro paniculatin (5a), 6a,7a-dihydroxy-1,2,20,21,22,23-hexahydropaniculatin (5b), 2-aminothiazolo[ 4,S-d][1,2,20,21,22,23-hexahydro]paniculatin (6a), 2-aminothiazolo[ 4,5-d][6α, 7α-dihydroxy1,2,20,21,22,23-hexahydro]paniculatin (6b), isopropylidine derivative of 2 (7) are discussed.
