lonophoretic technique has been used for the study of FeIII/, CuII/, NiII/, CoII-4-hydroxybenzoate binary and FeIII/, CuII/, NiII/, CoII - 4-hydroxybenzoate NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid) ternary complexes. The stability constants of metal-4-hydroxybenzoate binary complexes are found to be 103·57, 102·46, 102·43 and 102.40 and the stability constants of metal-4-hydroxybcnzoate-NTA ternary complexes  have been found to be 105·70, 105·65, 105·55 and 105.50 for Fem, CuII, NiII and CoII complexes respectively at µ = 0.1 M (NaCIO4) and 25°C.
