Nile tilapia; Tilapia, Tilapia del Nilo.
Distribution: Global: Northern and eastern Africa; introduced throughout the world; Costa Rica: LN, RF, SJ, SC, Sa, To, Pa, Ma, Si (Atlantic), Ni, Be, Ta, Tr and Co (Pacific), 0–1250 m.a.s.l., Sec, Pot.
Occurrence and conservation status: Exo, LC.
