Cyprinidae.

Goldfish; Carpa Dorada, Pez Chino (Fig. 4C).

New record for the San Carlos River basin; previous records of the species in Costa Rican freshwaters were restricted to the Tárcoles River basin. New elevational record (29 m. a.s.l.); previous records of the species in Costa Rican freshwaters were restricted to 100–1779 m.a.s.l. Basis of the record: One specimen was captured in the río San Carlos, Santa Rita, Pital, San Carlos, Alajuela (10.70005, -84.19132), at 29 m. a.s.l., on June 2, 2019, by Oscar Sandoval.
