Dicty Tracking: A standalone tool for fast and easy tracking of migrating Dictyostelium cells

Dicty Tracking is a free, fast and easy-to-use standalone tool for semi-automatic tracking of migrating Dictyostelium discoideum cells from phase-contrast time-lapse image series based on MATLAB®. The tool is provided as a .zip package containing sample image series, additional Excel workbooks for further analysis as well as an detailed user guide. Dicty Tracking requires Fiji/ImageJ and the installation of MATLAB Runtime. The tool might be also suitable for other cell types creating prominent halos when imaged with phase-contrast optics, but this has not been tested so far.
