Description
Sinoxylon atratum Lesne, 1897: 20. (Fig. 5B)
Distribution in mainland China: GS (Liu 2010).
Other distribution. India, Thailand (Beaver et al. 2011).
Biology. Cedrela fissilis Vell., C. odorata Ruiz & Pav. and Toona ciliata M. Roem. (Meliaceae) have been recorded as host plants in Thailand (Beaver et al. 2011). In India, it is known to bore into the living shoots of Santalum album L. (Santalaceae), causing dieback (Beeson & Bhatia, 1937).
