Description

The whole genome shotgun sequence of a soil-borne Bacillus velenzensis strain L194 known as a biological control agent is presented in this study. The genome sequence of this strain enhances current genomics resources of Bacillus species and gives insights to genes required for their mechanisms of action.

Notes

The sequencing of the bacterial strains was supported by the GetGenome initiative of The Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich, UK, with support from the Gatsby Charitable Foundation and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBBSRC).
