Oryctini

Description

Oryctini larvae

The larvae of Oryctini are distinguished from other New World dynastine larvae by the following combination of characters: cranium densely punctate, dark reddish brown; maxillary stridulatory teeth truncate; antennomere 4 with 2–15 dorsal sensory spots; tarsal claws with 2–4 long, stout setae, raster without palidia or septula.
