Platypalpus farabiensis Shamshev, 1998: 126.
Material examined. 16♂, 2♀, Zeravshan res., deciduous wood, 39°38'N, 67°08'E, 24.v.1989, M. Barták; 12♂, 9♀, same locality, 21–22.v.1989, M. Barták; 1♂, 4♀, Samarkand, deciduous wood, 39°38'N, 67°08'E, 24.v.1989, M. Barták; 5♂, 5♀, Samarkand, along river Zeravshan, 39°38'N, 67°04'E, 22.v.1989, M. Barták; 1♀, Samarkand, 2 km E, pasture, 39°39'N, 67°01'E, 22.v.1989, M. Barták (CULSP).
Remarks. Platypalpus farabiensis was previously known only from the type specimens taken from two localities in Turkmenistan (Shamshev 1998). The species is recorded from Uzbekistan for the first time.
