Architectural Heritage of Chernihiv

The main objective of the study is to provide a the scientific analysis and classification of the monuments of the immovable cultural heritage of Chernigov, according to the type of ”architecture”, with the elaboration of recommendations for their conservation. The methodology is based on the use of general scientific and special methods, in particular, the historical method in a systematic approach, when the set of monuments as an object of study is considered in development, as well as a comparative method, analysis and synthesis, deduction and induction. The scientific novelty of the research is that for the first time complex analysis of the presentday architectural heritage of Chernihiv with the definition of the main threats that exist for her, and ways to overcome them are outlined. The findings and conclusions of the study. The highest concentration and value of architectural monuments in Chernihiv, is within the historic city center. In order to ensure their preservation, it is necessary to produce accounting documentation for all architectural heritage in accordance with the modern normative documents and to include these objects in the State Register of Real Estate Monuments of Ukraine.
