Description
The article presents the theoretical and methodological basics of project management in tourism, proposes an expanded, more sophisticated definition of the concept of "project" for this area of the economy. The fundamental properties of the tourism product as an object of management are presented, the relationship of project life cycles and the tourism product as a commodity are shown. The basic components of project management are identified and characterized is discovered, the content and the classification of investment and innovative projects in the field of tourism are given, the essence of the project risk management system in tourism is revealed.
