Description
Cyclax suborbicularis (Stimpson, 1858)
Material examined. 2 males (11.0 x 10.9 mm, 26.4 x 24.2 mm) (DABFUK), Kavaratti, 30 December 2014; 1 female (30.2 x 29.4 mm) (DABFUK), Amini, 26 May 2014; 1 ovigerous female (27.2 x 24.6 mm) (DABFUK), Kavaratti, 25 May 2014
Remarks. The species has been recorded from Tamil Nadu (Alcock 1895; Jeyabaskaran et al. 2000), the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Alcock 1895; Dev Roy 2008), and from Lakshadweep (Suvarna Devi et al. 2014). This species was observed at Kadamat but specimens were not collected.
