Eviota sparsa Jewett & Lachner 1983 —Speckled dwarfgoby

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM 11478 (1 specimen, St. KB 52, east side of Anelaua Island, Kavieng District, 02°35.156’S 150°30.498’E, 3–4 m depth, 19 June 2014).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Samoa. Coral reefs, 2–18 m depth. Marine.
