Description
Pomacentrus burroughi Fowler 1918 —Burrough's damselfish
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken on north coast of Manne Island, Kavieng District at 1–11 m depth, St. KR 36, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell); another taken at Anelaua Island, off eastern New Hanover, at 3–16 m depth, St. KR 98, in 2014.
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Philippines and Fiji. Found in silty inshore reefs of sheltered bays, 2–16 m depth. Marine.
