Chromis analis
Description
Chromis analis (Cuvier in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1830) —Yellow chromis
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken at Nubilus Island, off eastern New Hanover, 3–25 m depth, St. KR90, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell).
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Micronesia and Fiji, north Taiwan and southern Japan, south to Queensland (Australia). Found on steep seaward reef slopes, 10–70 m depth. Marine.
