Description
Nectamia similis Fraser 2008 —Similar cardinalfish
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed at Anelaua Island, New Hanover, 2–18 m depth, St. T 22, on 6 Nov. 2006, by Gerald R. Allen.
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Malaysia and Indonesia east to Palau and Papua New Guinea, south to Queensland (Australia). Found in sheltered reefs, 2–12 m depth. Marine.
