Acentronura breviperula Fraser-Brunner & Whitley 1949 —Shortpouch pygmy pipehorse
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 10 May 2009.
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Papua New Guinea, south to Queensland (Australia) and New Caledonia. Found among debris or algae, 1–20 m depth. Marine.
