Humanities for Change. Un network sul futuro delle discipline umanistiche

The poster presents the activities of the international network Humanities for Change (www.humanitiesforchange.org, www.hfc.hypotheses.org), through which early-career scholars and students aim to reflect on the future of humanistic culture. Among the various initiatives, in the field of public history a pivotal role is played by the blog which, among other topics, deals with the public component of the historical sciences, giving voice to important projects and publications in the field. Thanks to the collaboration with cultural associations and universities, the dissemination activity is carried out through the use of multiple means of communication such as interviews with external experts, realized starting from the contributions published in the blog, podcasts and meetings held in universities and broadcasted in streaming, in order to reach a wider audience. The last challenge is represented by the setting up of an international scientific journal to be distributed in open-access format.

Il poster illustra le attività del network internazionale Humanities for Change (www.humanitiesforchange.org, www.hfc.hypotheses.org), attraverso cui giovani studiosi e studenti si propongono di riflettere sul futuro della cultura umanistica. Tra le varie iniziative, nell’ambito della public history un ruolo centrale è svolto dal blog che, fra i vari temi, tratta della componente public delle scienze storiche dando voce a progetti e pubblicazioni di rilievo nel settore. Grazie alla collaborazione con associazioni culturali ed enti universitari, l’attività di divulgazione si attua attraverso l’utilizzo di molteplici mezzi di comunicazione come interviste ad esperti esterni, realizzate a partire dai contributi pubblicati nel blog, podcast e incontri svolti in sedi universitarie e trasmessi in streaming, allo scopo di raggiungere un pubblico più ampio. L’ultima sfida è rappresentata dall’allestimento di una rivista scientifica internazionale da distribuire in formato open-access.
