Barbaxonella pilosa Angelier, Decamps & Rey, 1963: 480. Nov. syn.

Material examined: MNHN Paris, Tarn CØret (?), uncertain sites, (red inscription, only numbers): 72, 1/0/0; 76, 1/0/0; 83, 1/0/0; 100, 0/1/0; 128, 0/5/0; 160, 0/1/0; 161, 2/0/0; 196, 1/3/0; (14 further, unstudied specimens numbered 95, 107, 141, 151, 152, 157, 177, 186).

Discussion: Short time after the first description of B. pilosa, Gledhill (1964) discovered that the species described as Axonopsalbia angulata K.Viets, 1955 in reality was a representative of the genus Barbaxonella and gave the first description of a male of this species. Barbaxonella pilosa, in the original description compared only with B. ovalis Lundblad, 1954, was not treated again since then. A revision of 30 syntypes recently discovered at MNHN Paris (for details concerning the material see discussion of Atractides phreaticus) does not reveal any remarkable differences to B. angulata of which B. pilosa is consequently a junior synonym. In France, it is known exclusively from the seven sites in the Cevennes published by Angelier et al. (1963).
