Coelichneumon (Coelichneumon) tonkinensis RIEDEL, 2013

M a t e r i a l: Laos, Hua Phan Prov., Ban Saleui, Phon-Pan-Mt., 20°13´30´´N 103°59´26´´E, 1350- 1900 m, 13 17.V.2011, leg. C. Holzschuh & natives.

R e m a r k: The species differs from the 33 of Coelichneumon albonotatus CAMERON by its more extended ivory coloration which resembles the description of Coelichneumon cyaniventrops HEINRICH, but in contrast to the described ♀♀ of C. cyaniventrops, coloration of head and mesosoma of this taxon is as strongly metallic-bluish as the metasoma.

D i s t r i b u t i o n: Known from Vietnam, new for Laos.
