Fig. 8. Looking southward down the upper Río Corocoro toward direction of the 1700m camp, a short distance below the 1750m Colostethus locality. The open, scoured streambed, flanked here by rocky scrubland on the west bank, is in stark contrast to the small woodland streams in dense, mossy forest on the eastern side of the valley (for overviews, see figs. 6 [bottom], 7; for interior of mossy forest, see fig. 23).
