Neuroctenus chinai Hoberlandt, 1957

Neuroctenus chinai Hoberlandt, 1957: 82 (key), 83–86, Figs 94–97 (original description).

The holotype and three paratypes are deposited in NMPC:

HOLOTYPE (J): ‘ Madagaskar / Sikora [p] // Holotypus [p] / Neuroctenus / chinai sp. n. J [hw] / Det. L. Hoberlandt, 19[p]54 [hw, red label] // Mus. Nat. Pragae / Inv [p] 11.002 [hw, orange label]’. (Specimen mounted on minuten pin through scutellum; right middle leg and right metatarsus missing.)

PARATYPE (J): ‘ Mt. d’Ambre, XII-48 [hw] / Inst. Scient. Madagascar [p] / 1140 m. RP [hw] // Paratypus [p] / Neuroctenus / chinai sp. n. J [hw] / Det. L. Hoberlandt, 19[p]54 [hw, red label] // Mus. Nat. Pragae / Inv. [p] 11.004 [hw, orange label]’.

PARATYPE (♀): ‘ Madagaskar / Sikora [p] // Paratypus [p] / Neuroctenus / chinai sp. n. ♀ [hw] / Det. L. Hoberlandt, 19[p]54 [hw, red label] // Mus. Nat. Pragae / Inv [p] 11.003 [hw, orange label]’.

Current status. Valid species (see USINGER & MATSUDA 1959, HOBERLANDT 1963, KORMILEV & FROESCHNER 1987, HEISS 2012).
