  • 2. Bembe (2004: 129, fig. 27b; 2007: 113, fig. 27b) has shown that mesobasitarsus of male E. rugilabris has an unusual shape among Euglossa, but I could notice no difference in this character between E. rugilabris and E. juremae that could be useful to distinguish both species.
