Sticholotis linguiformis Yu

Description

Sticholotis linguiformis Yu

(Figure 304)

Sticholotis linguiformis Yu, 1995: 124.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. jinpingensis, but it can be distinguished from the latter as follows: spots at basal 2/5 not touching suture, penis long and thin, penis guide narrowed at middle and distinctly shorter than parameres. In S. jinpingensis, spots at basal 2/5 touch suture and form a common sutural spot, penis is short and stout, penis guide is very wide and distinctly longer than parameres.

Specimens examined. China, Guangdong: Chebaling (Shixing County), 23.III.1989, Yu GY leg. (1female, paratype; SCAU).

Distribution. China: Guangdong, Taiwan.

Remarks. We examined the paratype (allotype) of this species, which is damaged. The holotype of this species is deposited in Zoologische Staatssammlung München, Germany and was not examined yet. All provided diagnostic information for this species is based on Yu’s (1995) detailed description and illustrations.
