Chilorhinus platyrhynchus (Norman, 1922)

Brachyconger platyrhynchus Norman, 1922:218 (type locality: New Britain Island, Bismarck Archipelago [Papua New Guinea, western Pacific]).
Chilorhinus platyrhynchus (Norman, 1922): Shao et al., 2008:237.
Remarks. This is a rare species represented by a few specimens collected by bottom trawl from southwestern Taiwan and two catalog records (three specimens total) in the USNM collection collected by rotenone off southern Taiwan.
