Lethocerus Mayr, 1853
Comment. Perez Goodwyn (2006) raised the Nearctic subgenus Benacus Stål, 1861 and resurrected the synonym Kirkaldyia Montandon, 1909, both as valid genera. Therefore, Lethocerus Mayr, 1853 includes now only the nominotypical subgenus.
