Muiralevu silvestris Zelazny, sp. nov.

Description. Forewings 2.3 times longer than wide, length in male 3.8–4.0 mm. Colour stramineous to faintly brown. Forewings very faintly yellowish-brown. Forewings with Ms1 branched at apex of basal median cell. Hindwings with apex of R branched. Male pygofer with short and pointed lateral projections. Apical part of male aedeagus short, the left side extended into a terminal, rounded lobe.

Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective (silvestris, -is, -e = from the forest).

Type material. Holotype ♂ (forewing 4.0 mm), EAST MALAYSIA: NORTH BORNEO; labels: 1) BRITISH N. BORNEO / Tawau, Quoin Hill / Cocoa Res. Sta./ 6.IX.1962 2) Y. Hirashima / Malaise Trap / BISHOP (BPBM). Paratype. EAST MALAYSIA: NORTH BORNEO: SARAWAK: Tebang, 5.IX.1958, 1 ♂ (fw. 3.8), T. C. Maa, at light (BPBM).

Distribution. North Borneo.

Diagnosis. Muiralevu silvestris is very similar to M. parvus sp. nov., also found in Borneo, but is larger, has faintly yellowish brown forewings, and the left side of the apex of the male aedeagus is extended into a rounded lobe.
