Xanthopimpla brevicarina Wang, 1987
Xanthopimpla brevicarina Wang, 1987. Acta Entomologica Sinica, 30 (3): 328. Holotype: ♀, China: Ningming Co. Guangxi, (IZCAS).
Diagnosis. Black marks present on posterior 0.7 of mesoscutum; tergite 3 sparse punctures; hind trochanter, tergites 2 and 6 entirely yellow; ovipositor sheath 0.65x hind tibia.
Distribution: Described from China (Wang 1987), this is the first record of X. brevicatina Wang from Vietnam (Fig. 23). Vietnamese specimens were identified by comparison with the original description.
Material examined. Ninh Binh, Cuc Phuong NP: 1♀ (OMNH), 200–300 m a.s.l, 24.iv.1998; 1♀ (OMNH), same locality, 26.iv.1998, R. Matsumoto leg.; Ha Noi, Gia Lam, Da Ton: 1♀ (IEBR), 02–14.vii.2001, L. D. Khuat leg.
