Chinese Public Companies Systematically Omitted Disclosure of Related Party Transaction with Government‑related Entities

Authors/Creators

Description

Chinese banks issued debts and shares in many capital markets, presented financial statements using IFRSs and omitted related party transactions with government entities. The omitting impacted decision making. If investors had been aware that these banks granted loans to military entities that threaten security of Taiwan, Uyghur, Hong Kong or South China Sea, investment wouldn't have been made.
