Correlates on the Knowledge and Management Practices on Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH) Among Women in Northern Philippines

Objectives: The study dealt into the level of knowledge and extent of management practices among pregnant diagnosed with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) for the Calendar Year 2019. Additionally, the study determined which of the profile of the respondents influence the level of knowledge and extent of management practices on PIH. Lastly, it determined the relationship between the level of knowledge on PIH and the extent of management practices.

Methods: The study used the descriptive-correlational method of research. The 50 respondents diagnosed with PIH were selected on a total enumeration basis from the health institutions the researchers were able to visit from the period March- July 2019. The data are derived through the use of a questionnaire-checklist formulated by the researchers. Data are treated with the application of frequency and percentage, mean, multiple linear regression, and simple linear correlation analysis.
