Description

Rhabdias bicornis Lu, 1934

Host: B. gargarizans (Amphibia: Anura: Bufonidae).

Site: lungs.

Distribution: Eastern Palaearctic (China).

Description (after Lu 1934). Body length 13.06–15.43 mm, width 320–520. Mouth slit-like. Two lateral pseudolabia with rounded edges present. Vestibulum narrow, elongated. Buccal capsule funnel-shaped, 16–22 in diameter. Oesophagus 800–880 long. Anterior muscular swelling present. Maximum width of oesophagus (bulb width) 78–103. Nerve ring encircling oesophagus in its anterior quarter. Distance from anterior end to nerve ring 190–210. Vulva at 6.88–7.65 mm from anterior end. Uteri elongated. Seminal receptacles short, situated at bending point of genital tubes. Tail 280–350 long. Eggs numerous, 78–103 × 40–49.
