CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [teste Steyskal (1968a: 3)].

FAMILY: NERIIDAE.

[Loniatia] Wiedemann, 1828: 292.

CURRENT STATUS: Incorrect subsequent spelling of Lomatia Meigen, 1822.

FAMILY: BOMBYLIIDAE.

REMARKS: This misspelling was corrected in the errata in Wiedemann (1828: 604).
