Vasticardium pectiniforme

Description

Vasticardium pectiniforme (Born, 1790)

Habitat. Living close to the surface on coarse sand among coral debris in the sublittoral.

Distribution. Found only once alive between Hermitage and Gombrani but dead shells and disarticulated valves are common in this area and are not infrequent throughout the lagoon.

Range. Indo-Pacific [R/M/S].

Figured specimen. 41.7 mm, NMW.Z.20000.086.00048.
