ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Plinthomyia emimelania Rondani, 1875.

TYPE SPECIES: Plinthomyia emimelania Rondani, 1875, by monotypy.

CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Phumosia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [teste James (1977: 537)].

FAMILY: CALLIPHORIDAE.

REMARKS: Rye (1877: 475) emended the specific epithet of the type species to “ hemimelania ”, which is an unjustified emendation.
