ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Tachina nitidula Meigen, 1824.
TYPE SPECIES: Tachina nitidula Meigen, 1824, sensu Rondani, 1856 [misidentification; = Tachina devia Fallén, 1820], by original designation.
CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [teste Pape (1996: 160)].
FAMILY: SARCOPHAGIDAE.
REMARKS: Originally proposed as “ Brachicoma Mgn. ”; however, since Meigen never proposed this genus, it is attributed to Rondani (1856).
