Type locality. Vueltas de Taganana, Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Lectotype: 1„, May 1859, Vueltas Taganana, Tenerife, leg. Wollaston (ex litt.), NHM, London. Paralectotypes: 4 exx, same data (one specimen without head and prothorax), 1♀ [Type] [Laparocerus / inaequalis /Woll. type]. NHM, London. 6 exx, same data [Hope Entomological/Collections/Wollaston Coll.] [Laparocerus / inaequalis Woll.]. UMO, Oxford. 4 exx, same data, MNHN (Coll. Oberthür-Wollaston), Paris.
Remarks. The type series was originally of 34 specimens.
