(A, B) Larva in situ in Lampronia gall showing long setae (A) and brown gut contents (B); (C) whole head capsule with strong sclerotized mandibles but with little other sclerotized skeleton; (D–F) details shown at three different focal planes: (D) showing toothless mandibles, (E) showing opening of salivary glands with single circular orifice (arrowed), and (F) showing serrate ridge (edge of clypeus) over mandibles (at level of midlength of right mandible blade).
