Celaenorrhinus bifurcus Bell, 1934

Celaenorrhinus bifurcus Bell: Bell (1934) TL, Beccaloni et al. (2008)

Celaenorrhinus similis bifurcus (Bell): Evans (1952), Cock (1982, no. 75), Cock and Alston-Smith (1990)

Evans (1952), and hence Cock (1982) treated C. bifurcus as a subspecies of C. similis Hayward. More recently, Austin and Steinhauser (1996) return it to full species rank, based on genitalia differences.
