Chlorochroa sayi

Description

Chlorochroa sayi (Stål, 1872)

Distribution: United States: AZ, CA, CO, ID, KS (Van Duzee 1917, Packauskas 2012), MT, NM, NV, OK (Arnold & Drew 1988), OR (Buxton et al. 1983), TX, UT, WA (Torre-Bueno 1934, Wallis & Turner 1972, Zack et al. 2012), WY. (Mexico)

Comments: Records of this species from Alberta and British Columbia should be referred to Chlorochroa uhleri (Scudder & Thomas 1987). Froeschner (1988) listed this species from Arkansas, but this is probably based upon a misidentification. Halbert (2017) recorded an interception of this species on garden radish in Florida; this record is not included in the above distribution as there is no evidence that it actually occurs in Florida. Roch (2020) listed this species from New York; this record needs verification.
