Coenus inermis Harris & Johnston 1936

Description

Coenus inermis Harris & Johnston, 1936

Distribution: United States: AR, KS (Rider 1996), LA (Rider 1996), MO, OK, TX (Rider 1996).

Comments: Froeschner (1988) listed Missouri in the distribution for this species (repeated by Rider 1996), but we have been unable to locate any reference to this species as occurring in Missouri. Given the known records from adjacent counties in Arkansas and Kansas, it would be expected to occur in southern Missouri. The known distribution of this species is interesting in that it appears to be restricted to the south central states.
