Communication and Dissemination Report
Description
Deliverable D4.2 reports on the communication and dissemination strategies, activities implemented and the related results collected in the scope of the Grassroot Wavelengths (GW) project. These activities aim to achieve the highest impact by implementing a thorough dissemination plan that adhered to the following objectives:
- raise awareness amongst selected target groups with respect to GW activities, outputs and benefits arising from the project for manufacturing value chains;
- promote willingness to make use of project’s outputs among researchers and targeted industries;
- support the design and implementation of the exploitation plan of the partners
The implementation of the dissemination plan has paid particular attention to the identification and the involvement of the target audiences for the project, which encompass two main groups. The first group is the media in general, including audiovisual channels, web, and print media. It includes both EC-managed media, such as CORDIS website, and blogs and newspapers with a special focus on media pluralism. The second group is made up of EU citizens and community radio activists. Chapter 2 illustrates the strategies behind the communication and dissemination activities of Grassroot Wavelengths as means to ensure public awareness informed by a pilot-driven approach. Chapter 3 describes the aims of the communication work undertaken in the project along with the guidelines followed to build inclusive forms of communication. Moreover, chapter 3 provides a detailed description (with facts and figures) of the tools employed in the project. Chapter 4 provides an illustration of project-related events where consortium partners presented and promoted the project. Chapter 5 contains a description of the results collected in the project in terms of publications; this chapter also offers an overview of the project final event. Finally, chapter 6 illustrates all the activities that the WP4 conducted to support project partners in 3 different phases of the community radio development: access and deployment, consolidation, and outreach.
