Perrotia Oberthur 1916

Description

Perrotia Oberthür, 1916

This is a Madagascan endemic genus of about 15 described species, including the synonymised genus Miraja (Lees et al. 2003); considering material collected to date, the radiation is probably at least twice this size (D.C. Lees, pers. comm. 2013). In a future paper, we will report that P. albiplaga (Oberthür) and P. ismael (Oberthür) are bamboo feeders. Here we present limited information on a species reared from palm.
